　　When they learned the victim had been in her ex-husband's office until seven o'clock, they thought they found a clue to the murder.　犠牲者が、別れた夫の事務所に7時までいたことがわかった時、彼らはこの殺人事件の手がかりを見つけたと思った。
　　At first I didn’t understand the word ‘evasion’, but I soon noticed the word was like ‘invasion’ and thought it might be a clue. ‘Invasion’ is literally ‘going into’, so ‘evasion’ could be ‘going out’ or ‘going away’.　最初evasionと いう語がわからなかったが、すぐにinvasionと似ていることに気づき、これが手がかりになるかもしれないと思った。invasionは 字義通りには「中に行くこと」だから、evasionは「外に行くこと」あるいは「逃げること」かもしれない。
