例外
　　No one enjoys paying taxes. He was no exception.　喜んで税金を払う人はいない。彼とて例外ではなかった。

There is no exception to this rule." 　「殆どの ルールには例外があるが、このルールには絶対に例外がない。」と司祭は言って、 更に続けた、「それは『全ての罪はそれに見合った罰を受ける』ということだ。このルールには例外がない。」
　　As a rule, athletes are banned from using these drugs. If an athlete wants the commission to allow an exception to be made, he or she can request for it according to the set procedures. Exceptions may be granted only in cases the commission agrees that no alternative non banned drugs are effective for the treatment of the athlete.　規則上、運動 選手はこれらの薬の使用を禁止されている。もし選手が委員会に特例を認めてもらいたいなら、所定の手続きに従って これを要求できる。特例は、禁止されていない他のどの薬でも治療に効果がないと委員会が承認した場合のみ許される。
