We walked the trail through the plain, where some shady groves provided us places to rest.　私たちは平野を貫く小道を歩いた。途中に 良く茂った木立がいくつかあり格好の休息場所になっていた。

The foundation is raising money to develop the land into a memorial grove of the high school which will be closed next year.　その 土地を造成して来年閉鎖される高校を記念する森にするために、財団が資金を集めている。

The zoo is looking for landowners of bamboo groves, because they don’t have enough supply of the bamboo stalks for their giant pandas.　その動物園は竹林の持ち主を探している。飼育しているジャイアントパンダが食べる竹の茎のたくわえが不足しているからだ。

The olive grove produces multi-award winning organic olive oil.　そのオリーブ園は、いくつもの賞を取った有機栽培の オリーブオイルを生産している。
