（考え）を押し付ける
　　The more strongly the mother tried to impose her opinion on her son, the more rebelliously he asserted the opposite argument.　母親が自分の考えを息子に押し付けようとすればする ほど、息子は反抗的に反対意見を言い募った。

impose on　...をだます
　　He imposed on the old lady by the well-worn words, "You remind me of my dead grandmother." 　「あなたを見てると死んだ祖母を思い出す んです。」という言い古された言葉で、彼はその老婦人をだました。

impose on　...に迷惑をかける
