The rhythmic pattern of poetry is meter. For example, in the line "I wandered lonely, as a cloud" or "the truth is great, and
shall prevail," you perceive a meter of four units(four feet), each one of which consists of one unstressed syllable and one stressed
syllable. This kind of meter is called iambic tetrameter.
詩におけるリズムの型を韻律という。例えば "I wandered lonely, as a cloud" や "the truth is great, and shall
prevail"において、読む人は、四単位(四脚)の韻律（一単位は、強勢のない一音節と強勢のある一音節から成る）を感じ取るはずだ。
