　　The Moon is the Earth’s natural satellite which orbits around the Earth once in a month.　月は地球の天然の 衛星で、地球を一月で一周する軌道を回っている。

衛星
　　Galileo Galilei found the planet Jupiter was accompanied by four small stars. Observing the stars for two months, he believed the four objects were the moons of Jupiter, not the stars. Some time later, these four satellites of Jupiter were named Callisto, Europa, Io, and Ganymede by a contemporary German astronomer. All of them are the names of those who were loved forcibly by Jupiter.　ガリレオ・ガリレイは木星の周りを小さな四つの星が動くのを見つけた。二ヶ月の観察を経て彼は、これらの四つの物体は恒星ではなく、木星の 衛星だと信じるようになった。しばらくして同時代のドイツ人天文学者によって、これらの木星の衛星はカリスト、ユーロパ、 イオ、ガニメデと名づけられた。これは全て、ジュピターに力ずくで愛された者たちの名前である。

　　The Full Moon rises from the east horizon at sunset, remains shining bright all night in the sky, and sets in the west at dawn.　満月は 日没のときに東の地平線からのぼり、一晩じゅう空で明るく光っていて、日の出になると西にしずむ。
